CIRS is dedicated to cultivating safe, inclusive spaces for scholarly exchange and creative practice that bridge disciplines and communities. Through collaborative events, conferences, residencies, and outreach initiatives, we support public-facing scholarship to encourage lifelong learning through the joy of intellectual exchange. We welcome all who value curiosity, care, and collective creativity in the shared pursuit of knowledge to continue the work of building thoughtful, creative communities.
Our mission extends beyond mere survival in challenging times—we aim to support a thriving community where intellectual curiosity, artistic expression, and genuine human connection can flourish. CIRS will serve as both sanctuary and launching pad for the kind of collaborative scholarship and creative work that emerges when passionate minds gather in inspiring places.
